Sealing the Planta Greenhouse

Our foundation was probably about as level as a piñata at a toddler’s birthday party, and it wasn’t quite as square as I’d hoped. But hey, everything managed to piece together like an awkward family photo! For those not-so-perfect spots, I generously daubed caulk or slapped on some clear Gorilla duct tape — because who needs perfection when you’ve got duct tape, am I right?

I went wild with the caulk, slathering it on both inside and out at the base of the Planta greenhouse. Every side got a double dose — like I was giving the structure a spa treatment! I even crawled up to the roof to seal the polycarbonate cuts, making sure no pesky draft could get in. And then there are the windows — three more to caulk. It’s like a scavenger hunt, but with more silicone!

So, about that duct tape – you know, the miracle worker of the DIY world? I went on a sticky mission and plastered it underneath those metal straps on the greenhouse’s outside, right where the panels meet. I even gave some love to the top roof piece, because who needs cold air crashing the party? I figured sealing those gaps would keep the chill out. And just for good measure, I smothered each horizontal connection where the top panel hugs the bottom panels. Because, let’s be honest: nothing says “cozy greenhouse” like a little tape action!

I’ve attached a snapshot of my epic duct tape masterpiece on the outside of my Planta Greenhouse. Trust me, it’s a sticky situation worth seeing!
