Planting Seedlings

Today, I’m planting a variety of pepper seeds along with some herbs. Since we love hot peppers, I tend to plant multiple seeds of each kind. I’ll wait another week before starting the tomato plants and a few other vegetables.
I prefer using Jiffy pellets because they are easy to work with and consistently yield great results for germinating seeds. To get the pellets ready for planting, I pour hot water over them to make them expand. Sometimes, I let them soak in the hot water for a while to help them expand more quickly. After the pellets have fully softened and expanded, I take a chopstick to make a hole deep enough for the seedling. Finally, I place the seedling in the hole and cover it up. Then I add a label to each pellet.
After completing the planting of all the seedlings, I cover the greenhouse tray and place it under the grow light. Each day, I monitor their moisture levels, adjusting air circulation or watering as needed. When the seeds begin to sprout, I transfer them to a different tray, removing the cover.
